【摘要】:Thispracticeisforusebydesignersandspecifiers,installationcontractors,regulatoryagencies,owners,andinspectionorganizationswhoareinvolvedintheconstructionofsewersandothergravity-flowapplicationsthatutilizeflexiblethermoplasticpipe.Aswithanystandardpractice,modificationsmayberequiredforspecificjobconditionsorforspeciallocalorregionalconditions.RecommendationsforinclusionofthispracticeincontractdocumentsforaspecificprojectaregiveninAppendixX2.1.1Thispracticeprovidesrecommendationsfortheinstallationofburiedthermoplasticpipeusedinsewersandothergravity-flowapplications.Theserecommendationsareintendedtoensureastableundergroundenvironmentforthermoplasticpipeunderawiderangeofserviceconditions.However,becauseofthenumerousflexibleplasticpipeproductsavailableandtheinherentvariabilityofnaturalgroundconditions,achievingsatisfactoryperformanceofanyoneproductmayrequiremodificationtoprovisionscontainedhereintomeetspecificprojectrequirements.1.2Thescopeofthispracticenecessarilyexcludesproductperformancecriteriasuchasminimumpipestiffness,maximumservicedeflection,orlongtermstrength.Thus,itisincumbentupontheproductmanufacturer,specifier,orprojectengineertoverifyandassurethatthepipespecifiedforanintendedapplication,wheninstalledaccordingtoproceduresoutlinedinthispractice,willprovidealongterm,satisfactoryperformanceaccordingtocriteriaestablishedforthatapplication.AcommentaryonfactorsimportantinachievingasatisfactoryinstallationisincludedinAppendixX1.
