【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardgivesgeneralguidanceforthesamplingandanalysisofairborneorganicisocyanatesinworkplaceair,usingthe2-(1-methoxyphenyl)piperazinereagentandliquidchromatography.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletothemeasurementofawiderangeoforganiccompoundscontainingisocyanatefunctionalgroups(NCO),includingisocyanatemonomersandprepolymers.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletothemeasurementofanyproductcontainingfreeisocyanategroups.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletothemeasurementoftime-weighted-averageconcentrationsoforganicisocyanatesinworkplaceatmospheres,andforsamplingoverperiodsintherange10minto8h.Itisdesignedforpersonalmonitoring,butmayalsobeusedforfixed-locationmonitoringbysuitablemodification.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletothemeasurementofairborneorganicisocyanatesintheconcentrationrangeapproximately0,1μgNCO·mto140μgNCO·mfora15Isamplevolume.Thequalitativeandquantitativedetectionlimitsforisocyanate,definedasthreetimesandtentimesthestandarddeviationofsixblankdeterminations,havebeenfoundtobetypicallyaround0,001μgNCOand0,004μgNCOpersamplerespectively(electrochemicaldetection).Fora15Iairsample,thesevaluescorrespondtoqualitativeandquantitativedetectionlimitsof0,07μg·mand0,3μg·mrespectively.EXAMPLESAromaticmonomersincludetoluenediisocyanate(TDI)andmethylenebis(4-phenylisocyanate)(4,4-diisocyanatodiphenylmethane,MDI).Aliphaticmonomersincludeisophoronediisocyanate(IPDI)and1,6-hexamethylenediisocyanate(HDI).Isocyanateoligomersorprepolymersarederivedfromthesemonomersbyself-condensationorreactionwithpolyols.NOTE1Organicisocyanatescanalsoarisefromthermaldecompositionofpolyurethanes.Ifbothisocyanatesandaminesarebelievedtobepresent,useofastandardwhichenablesthesimultaneousdeterminationofbothaminesandisocyanatesmaybemoreappropriate(ISOmethodindraft).AnalternativeprocedureusingtheMAP[1-(9-anthracenylmethyi)piperazine]reagentisalsoavailable(ISOmethodindraft).NOTE2Theobjectiveofairmonitoringisusuallytodetermineworkerexposureand,therefore,theproceduresdescribedinthisInternationalStandardareforpersonalsamplinginthebreathingzone.Theproceduresmaybeusedforbackgroundorfixedlocationsampling.However,itshouldberecognizedthat,duetoaerodynamiceffects,samplersdesignedforpersonalsamplingdonotnecessarilyexhibitthesamecollectioncharacteristicswhenusedforotherpurposes.
